apply for our Stage dOOR Award
The Stage Door Award provides up to £1,000 worth of funding to each of three young people between the ages of 5-21 who are engaged in performing arts. This could be singing, drama, dance, musical theatre or anything else that may be classed as theatrical performance!
Who can apply?
Before beginning the application process, please make sure that you (or the applicant you are applying for) fit the following criteria:
aged 5 - 21 years old
is a resident in the City of Salford
faces financial difficulties which limit or prevent them from progressing their performing arts skills
Who can fill out the application?
If you are a young person who fits the criteria and feel able to complete the application form yourself, go ahead!
We also accept applications from parents, guardians, and other referees including teachers, support workers and mentors.
If you are applying on behalf of a young person and you are not their parent or guardian, please make sure you involve the young person and (where possible) a parent/guardian in the application process.
when completing the application form…
Please fill out the application in as much detail as possible. This will help us understand why you or the applicant is a good candidate for the award. We will need you to provide information such as:
What you/the applicant have done to date and why the funding is needed
How the funding would help you/the applicant progress in the performing arts
References from those who know about your/the applicant’s passion
Please note: The funding cannot be used towards specialised school fees
